Conventional acidizing treatments primarily use acids such as hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, and formic acid. Large quantities of acid are injected into the oil well, dissolving the down-hole rock formations and fractures, causing the expansion of oil and gas fissures and channels, thus achieving the goals of well production, increased production, and stable production. Generally, hydrochloric acid is sufficient for acidizing carbonate reservoirs. Treatment of sandstone formations is much more complex than that of carbonate formations, and for sandstone reservoirs, terrestrial acids (HCl + HF) are mainly used.
